The Phantom of Algebra II

Well, everyone seems to be so impatient for a new post so here it is:

Here is the deal, i have been in high school for 3 weeks now, and i have to say it is pretty sweet. That is except for Algebra 2. Just a little backround info here, i have made straight A's all my life and that record is in jeopardy MAJOR JEOPARDY. Back to the post, I am in Honors Algebra 2 which is the hardest class for a freshman. And last year in math, i made a 97(A +). So far this year, i am in the trenches in math. (just to mention i am in all honors classes). I like my teacher, she goes to my church, but i don't really like her teaching. She is not very emotional WHICH IS TOTALLY FINE, except for the fact that i had a CRAZY teacher last year who was the best i've ever had in my life. Back to the point... My math grade is rite now at this very moment a 78% (C-). NOT GOOD. Now, i am doing my best to bring it up, but I am just at a loss for words.

**Just to let everyone know, if i end up making a C in math, i will never be allowed to blog, email, play PS2, get on the computer, date, or even be allowed to leave the house AGAIN. Pray for me**

Well, just to put this into perspective, this teacher has two Honors Algebra 2 classes each day. So far, 3 A's in both classes COMBINED. yes, that's rite COMBINED! Now, let me clear something up. If I make a B in math, then that is the equivalent of an A in a non-Honors class. I get the same GPA points with a B that i would with an A in a non honors class. But i want an a to get my GPA above a 4. But I am making like 97's in every other class, and so that isn't so bad i guess. But I am not in trouble yet, i have 6 weeks to get that 78 to an 85 or higher. So, Dana you mite have had a little spill this morning, but I had a monumental flood in my life this morning when i found out my grade!

All I have to say.....is that I've experienced in my life: Math skills are highly overrated.

Do you know 2+2 ???? Then you can get a job at McDonalds.

Do you know the square root of 9 ??? Well, good for you. But just so you know, you will NEVER use that information in the real world. Well, unless you want to BE a math teacher. But besides that profession - you're good to go my friend.

Not that I'm telling you to set your goals low or anything. No, definitely not saying that - especially NOT saying that if your mom is reading this comment.

BUT, if by chance your mom ISN'T reading this comment, then I'd have to just advise you to do what I did: Marry well.

Hang outside the local medical school.....accidently bump into some girl who has ambitions of becoming an opthomologist - strike up a conversation, propose within 6 weeks, and tada - you're set.

And by the way...this advise.... is free of charge.

THANK YOU DANA I CAN USE THAT INFORMATION!!!! thats beautiful! but for some odd reason i think it works better for a girl relying on a guy than a guy on a girl. but wateva ill try it neways

Dana, i tried that, and she told me to get a life.

Bryan, you are mistaken, i made a 78 so far, not 67!
